Help! Screen functioning by itself!

This past weeks my z2 screen just functions by itself. When I text it will call the person that I'm texting. And sometimes it will just not function. So I have to lock the screen and unlock it again Southam it will function back. I did went to a repair store already but the tech said I have to send it to there main branch to be repaired. I have 2 months left with my warranty but the thing is, my phone is having a Crack on the side because last year when I got this it accidentally fell off my pocket but after that there's nothing wrong with my z2. So I'm just wonder if the Crack will make my warranty void or something?? My cousin paid alot when he did send his phone to the main branch, his issue is about motherboard. He wet his phone so bad. So, will it be void?? Thanks for reply.

Hi,

It's hard to say for us at the forum since the phone needs to be examined by a technician, but the warranty does only cover manufacturing errors and no kind of external damages. So yes, this may void the warranty. But questions regarding warranty would be best to raise with your local support team since it may differ from market to market:

Have you tried to factory reset your device or similar? If yes, I can only suggest that you have your phone examined by a technician at an authorized service center.

We did reformat my phone already but still the same issue. 😔I guess I just have to get this check w/ techs. Thank you so much for ur reply.
