Settings / Data Usage not reacting

When I open settings / data usage a black screen appears and later on the message that Settings is not reacting, with options to close or wait. Selecting wait the same message appears again some seconds later. At instances the data usage screen may open, but without any information and not reacting either. After some seconds again same messge pops up that Settings is not reacting.

I am running Android 5.02

Restart the phone and check again

Sorry to hear that.

In case the issue remains after a restart, go to Settings -> Apps -> All -> Settings -> Clear data -> OK. Then turn the phone off and turn it on again.

Thanks, i did as suggested but unfortunately no change. I still get black screen and then message that Settings is not reacting.

Sorry to hear that it didn't help.

Could you also test if this happens in safe mode? Hold the on/off button and then tap and hold the shutdown option to restart in safe mode.

Thanks for the follow-up. I have tried Save Mode earlier and did now again but is still the same behaviour...

Although despite backup needed considerable efforts to have all settings re-installed / defined as before...
