      <title>PC companion crashed while updating lollipop</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello Guys,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When trying updating my XperiaZ to lollipop, the PC companion crashed. I got message from windows that the PC compnion stop responding. Waited for 20 minutes, nothing happed. Then closed the windows message by pressing cross sign on top right corner, it then closed also the PCC. Reboot PCC, but does not recognize my phone. Now, my phone completey dead. Please help..&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;Please try running a software repair on your handset as it will remove &amp;amp; reinstall the operating system - which is likely to bring the phone back to life.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;You will need to download&amp;nbsp;&lt;A href="http://support.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/pc-companion/" target="_self" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"&gt;PC Companion&lt;/A&gt;. Please note because you can't turn the phone on or unlock the screen all data will be deleted.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;1. Once installed, click Start under Support Zone.&lt;BR /&gt;2. Phone Software Update.&lt;BR /&gt;3. Start.&lt;BR /&gt;4. Repair Phone&lt;BR /&gt;5. Continue&lt;BR /&gt;6. Accept data removal&lt;BR /&gt;7. Next&lt;BR /&gt;8. Wait for prepare&lt;BR /&gt;9. Select Phone&lt;BR /&gt;10. Follow the connection steps&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Please make sure the phone is &lt;U&gt;powered off and not connected&lt;/U&gt; to the computer&amp;nbsp;to start with.&amp;nbsp;Make sure that after you select Phone/Tablet software update that you click on &lt;U&gt;Repair my Phone/Tablet&lt;/U&gt; &amp;amp; later connect the phone when prompted to. If you have done it this way then follow @Uliwoolys suggestion and report back.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
