Z1 completely dead

Hi there, I left my z1 to charge for the night and when woke up, it's completely dead. I tried the power+volume up key and also the other one with the volume down key and there's no response from the phone. No charging light, no vibrations. Is it maybe that I connected it to the sony magnetic charger? Cause I read somewhere that you'll need a traditional usb charger to do that. Thanks in advance.

Connect your Xperia Z1 to the wall charger > press and hold Power & volume up for 10 seconds > let it charge for 2 to 3 hours

you need a wall charger not the magnetic charger nor a computer

Sometimes there is but I doubt there will be until after 2-3 hours, so just press both keys for at least 10 seconds

Well **bleep** me! lol After hours of trying with 3 different sony xperia chargers I plug it in to try the above and it decides to spontaneously charge before I could try anything.

xperia Z water damaged/dead but still plays daily alarm and I can't stop it. lol grrr

This problem is with my Z phone.

So I got it wet, it was on afterwards until it went flat and I didn't notice the damage until I tried to turn it on after charging. Now it wont turn on but red light come on when connected to charger or PC. Problem is the alarm is still going off every day at 0600 and I can't turn it off until phone goes flat.

Have disassembled, dried and reassembled phone. (Noticed when I pulled it apart it has old h2o damage as it was so rusty and corroded inside with lots of green/blue build up so I assume it was never water proof as this was the first time in water and I only ever used the sony cradle charger)

When connected to pc via usb device is detected identified but cannot establish connection with sony pcc.

When I try to view files in windows there is nothing there.

I have concluded that it is dead and bought Z1(another problem story and less than 3days old)

I was only playing with it in a vein hope to retrieve a few photos from it. Would like to know if others have had this problem as I have no idea how it can be this dead and still play my dam alarm, lol.

I just want to solve the mystery now.

On the upside 4.4.4 seems to have fixed my tablet screen glitch.

asking myself why I keep buying these, awesome cameras, fast processor, great screen. And that's all the good. I still have to use a 3year old moto defy for gps navigator because sony has no idea where it is. Even the flimsy cheap moto has been used underwater without damage. I have a 9 year old nokia that did two wash cycles with the laundry and a friend is still using it. I keep an 5yr old telstra brick at home for when I want reception inside. And just sent a 6yr old nokia to someone who can't hear on the crappy xperia speakers.

New Z1 has the dam shut down and wont recharge hic-up.

Z tablet has the worst ever usb port and found out the day after buying it they had stopped making the charger cradles before I even bought it.
