Google on your phone Towelroot - Then open the site via your phone click on Lamda symbol and install - Run the app and click on Make it rain - If it worked your phone will reboot then install SuperSU from the play store and reboot - You should if all went to plan have root

Also just another questiom, do I need to do anything after rooting it? Honestly I am rooting it to install privacy apps & have full ownership of my phone. Do i have to intall recovery/custom ROM/kernels/ect.? Or just SuperUser app?

(I'm still kind of new at this)

You don't need custom recoveries or anything just do as said above - To fully unroot you need manually flash a .ftf firmware file using Flashtools

I'm sorry, but I'm confused.

I thought when you root your phone & don't unlock your bootloader, you can stay with your stock ROM and not download a new custom one/ firmware. But now you tell me the opposite.

Is it necessary to download one? What happens if I don't?

And just one side last question; does the app (towelroot )allow for un-rooting of the phone?

Try my 1st post on page 1 - It may work and if it doesn't then you may most likely will have to unlock your bootloader and use a different method but check on your model number/version on the XDA site as they will have a section dedicated to rooting your model number
