battery drains by com.sonyericsson.android.wakeup xperia z1 compact

Since yesterday my battery drains quicker than before. It seems like its "com.sonyericsson.android.wakeup" doing this with 250 wakeups 30 min after I took the phone from charger. And I have not even used my phone during this time. Does someone recogniaze this problem and is it something you can do about it?

Have you changed something in developer options?Do you have task killers or battery savers?

which accounts are you syncinc? how often? is your wifi on the whole time?

I have the same Problem

4414 wake ups

I have nothing changed in developer Settings. Auto Sync is on for 2 Exchange Acc; whatsapp; google, facebook but only 1Exchange Acc is push all other Service are only manuel sync

Are sure that this accounts are the Problem? For testing this i could do auto sync Off for a day. Than this service should not have 4414 wake ups

No changes in developer options, I use no task killers. I only sync a few accounts, like dropbox, facebook, twitter. Also use Viber, but when I force this "wakeup-process" to stop the drain goes down and everything on my device seems to work as it should. I dont know what make the process to start again but after I had my phone put to flightmode it went back on when I turned flightmode off, so I stopped it again. This "com.sonyericsson.android.wakeup" seems unnecessary, but it must have some kind of function?

It is not really unnecessary,I think it tells the phone when to wake up.

hi, I have the same problem, all my friends which bought z1 compact have also this problem. carrier is a1 in austria. 6300 wakeups in 17 hours is too much! Google tells me that this is a know bug in older models (Z1, Xperia S, T, V ). I dont want to root my phone (then you can delete the wakeup apk), because this will void the warranty.

@Sony: Please fix this problem with the next update, with my Z1 everything was ok (same carrier)

i Dont have any task killers, only email and whatts app syncing! everything standard out of the box!

I testet now a lot of different situations.

I know now exactly what the problem is, but I have no idea how to fix it.

If I use only 2G I habe no wake up's in 2hours, but when I use 3G the wake up's grows and grows. Yesterday I had 9000.

Seems to be a problem with the software oder from provide switching from H to H+

Is the Location based Wifi option on?

If it is, try to turn it off, and check the wakeups.

For me it wasnt on. I switched it on now when I had the wakeup process stopped and it did not start. So I dont think it has anything to do with it. When I look at it in a wakelock-app it says it's the "Alarm Manager" that is waking the phone. I've tried to remove all alarm settings etc. without result.

I googled it and it seems to be something to do with FastDormancy, This a service for mobile tower and turning off or keeping mobile network alive. If you google you will see that FastDormancy if you network provider has it on acturlly saves battery, Do a quick google you will see.

So it is definitly the mobile net. When I put WLAN on the wake up stopps. Only in 3g i have it. And in my case it doesn't save energy I lost it instead. So how can I can I delete or stop fast dormancy

You cannot disable mobile net,you can either use 2G(which is very slow),or not use mobile data at all.

On Samsung Devices you could stop fast dormancy. And use 2g or no data is no Solution. Only my sony has this problem or all other Devices don't Show it in energy usage
