Phone dead after 0% shutdown

Hi.

Last night my phone shut down itself after reaching 1% battery, and it's been dead ever since. I tried connecting it to a wall socket around two hours after it died, and nothing happened. When I press the power button, there's a very slight vibration, the screen turns on, shows the battery icon with a red line in the bottom, then goes off again. Even if the charger is connected, the battery icon doesn't show any animation as it should, it just stays there a couple of seconds then the screen goes black again and it's back to point zero. Besides that screen when I press the power button, nothing else happens. The LED is always off, it doesn't turn red, or orange, or anything, no matter whether the phone is charging or not.

I already tried the Power + Volume UP combination. It does nothing if the phone is off, and if I press it during the 4 or 5 seconds the screen is on, then the phone does 3 strong vibrations and it shuts down, but it doesn't help in any way, it just does that and, again, back to point zero.

I also tried the yellow reset button alongside the SIM flap, and it does exactly the same things as Power + Volume Up.

Any help in the matter would be greatly appreciated because I have very important videos from yesterday in my phone, and I don't have backup anywhere yet.

you could try this

remove the SD and SIM cards > connect the phone to a wall charger > press and hold power & volume up for 10 seconds > let it charge for 2-3 hours > then repair it with XC >>> Xperia Companion

If that doesn't work, then you will have to contact your Local support to get it inspected.

Thanks for your reply. I already solved the problem, so I'll leave what I did here in case someone suffers from the same problem.

I left the phone charging for 5-6 hours as some people recommend on the Internet, but it didn't work. The phone was still as good as dead. So I asked a friend technician and he adviced me to do quite the opposite: leave the phone unplugged for several hours. He told me the reason is because batteries have some kind of "memory" and by doing this, any corrupt percentage or data the battery might be storing gets swiped. I did just that, I left the phone alone for a couple of hours. When I got home and plugged it back in, it suddenly started charging with the LED turned red
