Hi,

I have taken a photo using the camera Timeshift Burst, which works great.. but the problem is when i goto select images for e.g. facebook upload, text, whats app etc... I see all of the photos from that timeshift burst and not just the single one i selected from the timeshift burst.

Is there a way to only keep one of the photos from a timeshift burst and to delete the rest?

The extra photos don't show up in the normal Album app, only when I goto selcting a photo for use elsewhere. Also they show up if i sync them to my computer etc.

Neil

I like the time burst feature, but have stumbled into a problem. When I view the album on my TV shared via 'all share' on my Bluray player, I am seeing all the other 59 shots that I don't want to see. So if I have only 5 photos , I am seeing 300 snapshots! I am not sure if the same problem exists with Nokia lumia

That's really not a well designed feature. It's taking up precious memory space and has clear useability issue when you want to view the photos with family. I don't think it will be super difficult to provide an option when in Album to convert a photo from timeburst mode to normal - in which case the rest of the snapshots can be deleted after getting confirmation from the user.

Any apps out there in Adroid to do this? wouldn't mind to give a dollar to have that capability. App developers are you listening? BTW, I did search before posting and didn't find anything - but i searched it just for xperia Z1. Thanks for your response.

I just found that the time burst photos are stored in a separate folder called 'TIMESHIFT' within DCIM. To solve the second problem, i.e to avoid seeing unvwanted snapshots, it would be sufficient if I make this folder invisible to the 'Media Share' (is it DLNA?). I tried to find this on the file explorer - but nothing available there. I tried to see if the 'Media Server' under Xperia connectivity has anything - unfortunately couldn't find anything there also. How do we selectively share / hide media from this 'Media sharing'??

Hi,

I've recently used this feature.

Using ES File Manager.

Goto either the SDCard or SDCard1 and then DCIM and Experia and Timeshift. (Sort by date order)

Open Album and find the picutre and choose the one you want (for me it is my wife with eyes open)

Then click on options and click on Details.

Look at the directory and remember the last 3 numbers.

Look at the filename.

Open the directory using File Manager and it should be the first or last directory.

Find the picture and click and copy

Move back to DCIM and find the directory that contains the pictures taken using just one picture

Paste the picture into this

Move back to DCIM/EXPERIA/TIMESHIFT

The directory should be in the same position, select and delete

Move back to Album and see that the picture is still there but now without the option to select from the 61

Continue until all have been done.

During a two hour flight delay yesterday I managed to do this for 134 picutures.

My do I wish there was a way to suggest software updates, this feature is stunning, very good, makes it possible to take a picuture and find the 'one' that will be in your album forever.

But it SHOULD have the option to selec the one picture and remove all the others.

A good camera and lovely software but they need to upgrade it fast as all the other picutres are uploaded, try to select using other apps and all are there, so SONY please:

1) Give us a way of suggestings software upgrades

2) Upgrade timeshift burst to put the single picture into the normal directory and remove all the others

Paul

Even 3.2 MP or 5 MP shots is cool. Thanks.

DSC_000001.JPG, DSC_000002.JPG and so on.

Also in album, is you start viewing pics from a burst one you can't go from one to the next, but if you start on a non burtst one then it's o.k.
