Sony Xperia z5 stuck on 20% battery wont go up or down

So this morning my phone was on 8% before it dropped, after the phone dropped,the battery display was stuck on 20% so I went connected my phone to a charger but it doesnt indicate that its charging but when i take off the USB cable the battery level it vibrates indicating that its below 15%.

I have pressed down the button volume and up and down (3 vibrate) and waited for it to boot up and i conencted the usb again but the display only indicates that its still on 20% and it doesnt show that is charging .

I connected the usb back in and checked and went to battery usage and it says its not charging however if i unplug the usb it vibrates meaning is below 15%

I have connected it to my pc and it vibrating indicating that the phone is fine, so im not sure if its the battery is the problem or somethign wrong with the display or if the phone is not charging at all anymore

When plugged in no light displays if its red/orange/green light

Hi @JIM1111, I am very sorry to hear about that.

Could you try calibrating the battery? This may help making sure that the device presents the correct battery levels.

To do so, first let the device discharge completely until it powers off, then press and hold the OFF-button next to the SIM are until the device vibrates 3 times, once that is done - charge the device fully (if there are no LED indications, leave it on for a few hours), then boot your device. Are you presented with the correct battery levles now?

I have the same problem after my xperia Z5 compact fell into water (max. 1,2 m deep for max 10 min.) and battery level is still stucked at 20%, during charging it is the same.

Sony, please help. I would like to claim this mobile to seller as this phone should be waterproof...
