I can't update my phone to Android 7

I'm sure by now Sony already has the Android 7 update for the Z5 dual but when I check the 'Software Update' it just says my device is up to date even though its still 6.0.1.

Hello @Davos and welcome to the community!

Some major updates will require you to connect your phone via USB to a PC/Mac with Xperia Companion installed. So try this and hopefully you'll find your update.

If you still can't find it, bear in mind that updates are released gradually and timing will differ between markets. Unless there is an official statement from Sony, the exact timing of update to your market will not be available here or anywhere else. Keep checking periodically on Xperia Companion.

To make it more clear for you: it's not about purchase or origin country, it's about a specific character of your mobile/tablet called "customization version". You can check this version by dialing the code *#*#7378423#*#* the tap on "Software info", if you want me to check if this specific customization version has the update released or not I can help you with that.

Your Xperia Z5 Dual (Customized Hong Kong) has an updated firmware available on Sony servers: version 32.3.A.2.33 (Android 7.0), so go and connect your phone to a PC with Xperia Companion, download and update!
