Phone wont send videos

Everything worked well on my XZ2 Compact until last Wednesday, when MMS videos just stopped going through. A notification pops up and says "sending videos, tap to view conversation" - but the videos never do send, and the notification can't be removed and it doesn't go away until the phone is restarted and I get the message "not sent" notice.

I've tried rebooting, safe mode, downloading internet settings, checking APN, trying with/without WiFi, updating ALL apps/software, trying the previous version of Messages - all to no avail.

Please help.

UPDATE: The phone's Android messaging app WILL send raw videos - but if they've been edited (shortened or effected in any way), they will NOT send. And if the app locks up trying to send an edited MMS video, it will not send an unedited video until the phone is restarted.

@Carliocan you check an edited video's size? perhaps whatever app you use for editing the video blows up its size above MMS limits during the export. it sometimes happens to me with photos or sounds if export quality is set too high.
