Just got offered 47.1.A.12.119 on my device.

Anybody know what got changed or fixed ?

Seems the gps icon force appearance have been fixed. But the auto brightness still not working fine for me.

Maybe the GPS icon and fixed. And also updated the built-in protection.

But I lost the "Smart Lock" menu. Am I the only one?

* The problem was solved on page 18 of the "quick questions about XZ1": in the "Locks" menu, disabled the "Trusted" function "Google Smart Lock". Rebooted and turned it on again - it worked -))

А еще, так не решили проблему с постоянно вылетают после каждой перезагрузки приложением «Sony Xperia Store». Я уже устал отчёты отправлять ...

В общем, 250 МБ обновления потрачены ... мало на что -))

Another monthly update goes by and the Sony boffins struggle yet again to resolve the continuing issue of WiFi connectivity. Cleared apps cache files, forgot and restored WiFi passwords, restarted device.

I Just cannot understand how 3 months since Android 8.0 we are still in a position where WiFi connectivity, (which was absolutely fine pre-8.0), is still the main cause of misery.

Pull your finger out Sony. If this continues into a further month this will be my last Sony device. Atrocious behaviour towards customers with no information on why this situation continues.

We don't know what Google put in the January Security update when they shared it with other phone companies but it's supposed to be the first update to deals with the Spectre and Meltdown CPU vulnerabilities cause by the Intel...

Hi, I have this auto-rotate malfunction..

Can't rotate properly, and I have to shake the phone, turn it up and down etc. because screen dont rotate, when i change the position of the phone.

Any body have the same problem?

Hello @DjAL2;

In the Support app bottom center option, and test the Gyroscope to see if it is ok.

If not, try it in safe mode.

I agree with you a lot. I have the same feelings about Sony. Xz1 was my first Sony and probably the last.

Today, I again got a notification for the New Software Availability (v. 47.1.A.12.119). I had got the same notification for the same version on 15 March 2018 and had updated my phone then. Why am i getting multiple notifications for the same update?

Similar thing happend for the earlier software version (v. 47.1.A.12.75). Is this normal or something new has been added to the same firmware with every repeatative update?

I got an email telling me this was available for my phone. When i turned it on i was subjected to 7 system updates in a row.

And the weather app widget was broken afterwards. It was displaying no info. I had to remove it and then put it back.

Front camera seems more clear in whatsapp video calls after update(not so much blurry anymore, but still not perfect). Sound needs to be lowered when you talk in video calls. And GPS icon now gone when turn off.

I did too get an email telling me about this update, as well as others ( Two I think) were available for my phone.

When i entered the IMEI number in the page it refered me too, it said info was already old, or something similar... Once said I should try later, but nothing else happened.

Anyone experienced this?!

Tried several times...I still have the original Android 8. 0 that came " out of the box "... No modifications or updates have been able to be installed.

Thanks for any advice.
