Micro SD card filesystem support

Which are supported filesystems on XZ1? FAT32 is very very common but there is limitation of 4GB per file which coulb be easy reached with big video file.

Is exFAT supported? Which is the recommended fstype?

As i know supported only FAT32 (have in mind all models of Sony's), you can format it straight in your smartphone, in memory section. In others formats formatted SD card is not readable for smartphones, device don't finding SD card, but maybe i'm wrong, it' simple to check, it's enough to format it in various formats

Thank you for your reply! I found that my XZ1 formatted (from Files app - SD Card - Storage settings - Format) my 64GB MicroSD card to exFAT automatically. Yes, this is the standard today. FAT32 is old with that 4GB max file size.

Because exFAT (like FAT and FAT32) is Microsoft product - this is how Microsoft is getting license fee from every single Android activated device (and non Android too) and making many $$$.

fat32 only.

I copied 8 gb video file only to internal memory.

I had exFAT in Win7 formatted SanDisc 64GB for my Z2 (D6650), cause it suggested that 4K movies won't be saved. Putting the same card directly to Xperia T, I got message "External disc not reconized, format SD card?"
So the size that is supported doesn't matter (both T/TX and Z2/Z2 Compact, would recognize up to 256 GB cards), I think it's Android's pre-settings what file system is accepted, I don't think brand New line wouldn't accept exFAT as in 2014 - Z2 it was already a standard to achive best performance and usability from 20 MPix sensor, internal memory was full in no time recording a lot in 4K.

If the size supported doesn't matter and [roblem is with android settings then what's the solution here?

New metod... Since XZ series not recognize exFat or Fat32,created under win7, 10 editions, the best way is to format SD inside desired phone. Android will automatically lay down a system format that suits it's needs. Later we can check on PC which file system was chosen by system
