Photo selected in facebook messenger - phone sending wrong images

HI all

For obvious reasons I am desperate to get this sorted out and hoping someone out there can assist.

I currently use Quickpic app for storing all my photos as I can save and arrange into albums.

When I am using facebook messenger to chat and send pictures even though I am selecting the correct images the wrong images are being sent.

For instance today I sent photos of xmas decorations to a facebook messenger group (as above) clearly showing the eight pictures I selected. However what appeared in the chat box was not the pictures showing.. In fact they were ummmmmm pictures that would normally never been shown.. yes emabarrising.

Any soloution? I cleared the cache in quickpics and the original album app has been disabled.

Thank you for the welcome.

I disabled the default sony album when i first got the sony zx, without having the option of albums inside the app I find it impossible to save photos in an organised manner. I have always used quickpics on all my sony phones. My sony z3 and z5 never had this issue with attaching photos in fb messenger.

The silly thing is when you first send the photos they appear as they should. Its only when you click on them they change to random photos. I have also confirmed with the recievers that they are seeing the incorrect photos

Needless to say im horrified a need a solution

@Lilykay,

I understand, sending the wrong image to the wrong person is a potentially devastating problem.

The reason I ask if it happens with the default album is I am trying to determine if the issue is with the app or the phone. If we can isolate where the issue is I can better direct you to a solution.

For testing purposes, could you please re-enable the pre-installed album app as default again and let me know if it's any better?

Hi. I have now deleted the quick pic app and using the default photo album app which came with the phone. Unfortunately it is still happening

@Lilykay Can you give it a try and clear data for facebook messenger and log in again? To be honest, this app is nothing but trouble sometimes.

So we know it's not the album application that's the problem, so please do try @alexdon's suggestion next. Please note that when it comes to troubleshooting third party apps I can only provide basic support. I recommend you also contact Facebook for assistance.

Hi, same problem. Happened yesterday and today. I think the problem is with deleted photos. I just sent a picture of the view to my closest mate at home as I'm on holiday and instead he received an intermediate picture sent to my girlfriend yesterday that I had deleted 😕
It happened also a couple of days ago, luckily that happened while sending my girlfriend a different photo.
Maybe since the last update?
