Speed Dial Keys?

Recently purchased my X10 mini pro!!

Does anyone know how to assign speed dial keys to the X10 mini?

I don't think it is capable of that as I could not find it too. Anyway, you can download speed dial apps from the market.

Hi..

I am sure you must be aware of "star" tab in phonebook.

There you can set few people and that will serve similar purpose as speed dial.

Does the speed dial provide some extra feature apart from star tab here?

Else as suggested you have to go for some app out there.

The star is just favourites, this will display the perticular person's Call log & Messaging when you view that person's contact detail. That's all I know.

There is an app that works on the biggun's that may work on the mini's. It's called MeContacts, it lets you set up multiple pages of tiles and each tile is allocated to a person. You can have family / friends / work / club... well basically you name it! You can then set it up to either call / sms (great for group sms-ing) or take you to their contact page. Anyway its a freebie, so you could give it a go.

There is another app that I use for all my calling... Gesture Search. You basically draw with your finger the first letter(s) of who you want to dial and then hit the green telephone next to their name. Again its free so give it a try!

Right..it will take you to the phonebook details of that person from where you can dial...you will do one step extra as compared to speed dial.

In a way it can server the purpose i feel....still speed dial will be more speedier than this.
