On screen camera button disappears

Hi guys,

Not quite sure if this is a common problem or not but it's quite frustrating!

When I move my camera to take a picture (usually in the upwards direction) all the on screen buttons disappear and I'm unable to do anything until I wait for about 5-10 seconds or move the phone down.

I've restarted the phone and cleared the camera data too. It's still the same for both front and rear camera.

Any help would be much appreciated

Welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

I have tried replicating this issue on my side, unfortunately I have not had any luck, I can only really advise trying a software repair on the device.

Or if you have some form of cover on the handset see if removing it helps.

Make sure to backup the handset before performing the below.

1. Download the PC Companion software from PC Companion and install it on your PC.

2. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.

3. Phone Software Update.

4. Start.

5. Repair Phone

6. Continue

7. Accept data removal

8. Next

9. Wait for prepare

10. Select Phone

11. Follow the connection steps

Hi,

I have the same problem. All buttons on the screen disappear if I put the phone in certain positions like horizontal. I must move the phone to get back the buttons... I still can use the side hard button to take a picture though.
