Phone OS hangs when SIM is inserted

Hi,

Phone Xperia X2

Purchase: Less than 1 year

Problem #1:

From a couple of months, I am having this problem, not continuously, but at random times. After the phone is restarted (for some genuine reason) if the SIM card is present, the phone stops responding after loading SPB Shell. After that I can only remove the battery and put it back again, and restart again. I will have to do this 5 to 6 times continuously to get the phone booted correctly without the OS hanging after boot.

I have tried different options of updating service or changing the SPB shell background etc. but it does not help. However if the SIM card is removed and the battery put back and rebooted, then the OS does not hang at all. Then it works fine.

Problem #2:

The 3.5mm jack in the phone has some loose connection. Any headset / head phone inserted in this jack works for a few minutes and then gets automatically disconnected and again gets connected after a few seconds & starts working again and then goes off again and so on...

Please let me know what to do to solve these problems.

If you could replicate the problem easily, I would suggest to go to service center and show it to them.. specially your problem 2..

Also, reinstalling firmware could sometime fixed hanging problem... Don't install any application after clean install then observe if phone still messing up for a couple of days. Also, I used to have live panel, but it slowing my x2 down so I chose a static one without animation.
