Why will my elm phone not save photos, themes to the memory card ? I have saved music on the card with an SD adapter on my computer and this is usable on the phone but sometimes disappears and says folder empty.Removing and replacing the memory card rectifies this but only for a short time.

First, see if formatting the card will resolve the issue. If not, try running the software update service on the phone and/or use the "repair phone" option via PC suite.Failing this, try a master reset. Remember to back up your phone memory/memory card data, in each case.

Same problem with my elm. Reformatted the card (loosing all data) multiple times, replaced the card, reformatted the new card, updated Software, .. problem persists.

Going into Tracker provokes the problem reliably (until camera shutdown/restart).

Shutting the phone down often helps a little, but once the last couple of pictures is recorded with 0 bytes, no new pictures can be added now.

Is this going to be fixed by some future SW update, before i switched to another vendor?

I had it too.

After 'little googling' i figure out that the problem is in file system.

I've changed FAT32 to FAT and everything works properly.

There is a way to do it in every windows (because i think since win2k u cant format to Fat in computer management).

http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/format.mspx?mfr=true

good luck
