problems with facebook

i have just bought a second hand satio and it is a brilliant phone but the facebook app does not login, it continually says unable to login. I tried a complete reset a number of times and cleared the cache etc in the browser but to no avail. I can login via the internet and thourgh a link on the phone but not directly through the app. please advise what can be done to resolve this problem.

Hey @dukessteven1967,

That doesn't seem right. Please try performing a master reset in your phone. Keep in mind that his will delete all the information that you have stored in your phone except for what you have saved in your external memory card like your pictures, videos and music files.

In order for you to master reset your phone, you need to dial #7370# and use the default code "0000".

done all that, soft reset, hard reset, uninstalling reinstalling to no avail.

completly stuck.

I have contacted facebook because it could be there server blocking me.

Absolutly no idea what to do and the strange thing is it used to work.

This is not an official troubleshooting step from us, but I read it somewhere else and I wanted to try it:

Try and log in with an incorrect username/password and you should get an error message.

Now log in with your correct username/password and it works fine

If that doesn't work, I want you to know that we already escalated this situation to the proper department.

I have the same problem with my satio.

I expect some solution from SE.

almost all satio and vivaz family users have this problem
