[TIP] Improve ICS Performance

Hi,

Like you i had the following problems with ICS:

Delay with incoming calls
General performance slowdown (comparing with previous firmware)
Slow Camera

After Downgrading and Upgrading the firmware a bunch of times, i changed to a different approach and now i'm happy with ICS

WARNING:

With my tips you will lose some phone functionality (because you will disable apps)
You don't need to root
You just need to use oficial tools

UPGRADE YOU PHONE USING uliwooly method:

Charge Phone to 100%

Turn Off phone

Start SUS

Accept Terms and Conditions

Select Phone

Plug USB in PC

Press & Hold the volume down key (keep pressed)

Plug smaller side of USB in mobile (Volume down is still pressed)

Wait 10 seconds till you see an instruction on screen to leave volume down key

Wait 1 hour for updating and installing updates

Switch On.

After updating and turning the phone on, inserting pin and move on the wizard, let the phone rest for about 10 minutes to let the update scripts finish then reboot your phone (turn off and on)

Unistall all apps preinstalled with your phone

Go To Settings ->Applications -> Tab All and disable all apps you dont need including the ones related with timescape, ea games, email and exchange if you dont use it, etc.

The idea is too leave the system as basic as we can and need.

Format your memory card

Update the phone apps and reboot your phone

Switch to nova launcher which is a lot faster that standard ICS launcher

Install any remaining apps that you need

This is what i did and i have excellent performance and battery time, no root, no background limit process setting, just plain stock.

What part didn't you understand?

Update the phone WITH SUS

Turn the phone on

Insert the sim card pin

Go through the welcome wizard (if it shows up)

Dont do anything with the phone for about 10 minutes

Restart the phone
