Unable to use XP on USB debugging mode!

hey .wel i have encountered a problem....when ever i connect my phone with pc..the flashtool says device connetced with debugging mode OFF..take a look at the screen shot of my phone !..what should i do now..i want to root my phone and m stuck at this!! :@ even with binry 4 its not picking up the device!!

did you enable usb debugging mode in developer options?also,make sure the phone is unlocked when connecting with usb.

yes it is enabled for developer options...i tried to turn on usb thethring then it got connected in usb debugging mode on flash tool :S>>>

naa no message on pcc...:S

.i got a some problem with my usb debugging mode.even though i have got it turned on from developer options still on the flash tool it says device connected with usb debugging mode OFF...when i turn on usb therting then it connects in USB debugging mode on on flash tool.i tried to root my fone with th above procesure.flashed .59 kernel.turn on flash tool and tried to root with flash tool...got up to restore point but then in the between my screen got dark n black cudnt see properly thru it...i restored the file from backup n restore app..later the flash tool rebooted my device...and when it turned on the debugging mode got off by itself (most probably becus the usb thethering got off) n my screen got black ..i disconnetcd my phone...went thru the apps..dint see any super user app...i guess my fone wasnt rooted yet :S....then later i flashed back with .54 kernel n display got right...but unfortunatly i am still unrooted :S tell em what shud i do!!

i would recommend you not to rood but to repair with sony update service,but it is your choice.

yea thats a choice...but still why doesnt it get connected on usb debugging mode unless i turn on usb thethering :S

windows 7 ultimate...i made a clean isntall of PC companion...still this problem...i will try repairing the fone ...and then will try again!

i tried a software repair with SUS>.did a factory reset still my fone does not get connected in usb debugging mode unless I turn on usb thethering :S!!

Just make sure that u have all the possible correct drivers. this seems to be a driver issue. try this switch off ur phone, plug the chord to the pc then plug the chord to the phone while pressing the volume down button(Flash mode) ,i guess it runs a check whether all the appropriate drivers are present. Do this and leme know.

Make sure you install all the drivers there are available for Flashtool under C:\Flashtool\drivers .
There's a file called "Flashtool-drivers". Install it.

You mean USB Debugging right?

Anyway, on Device Manager on your Windows Computer, is there a Device called "Sony Ericsson sa0104 ADB Interface Driver"?

Your Phone must be connected via USB and with USB Debugging turned on.

Edit: Devices called "Android ADB Interface" or "Android Original ADB Interface".

on the status bar i saw USB Debugging connected on my phone...but when i open flash tool it says Device connected with Debugging mode OFF...when i turn on USB thethering then it says..device connected with debugging mode on! ..and i know i cant find any device "Sony Ericsson sa0104 ADB Interface Driver" in my device manger..Can u upload a pic of ur device manger showing such a driver ??

What tethering? You only need to turn on the USB Debugging from the Developer Options like here.
