Hi Dr_Chris,

Well I tried all three of yur suggestions and no joy - it is still greyed out. On the phone I can go to a website where there is an RSS feed and I can go through all the motions of adding it - however it is not picked up as a web feed under "media". So I am not sure what else to try. I really don't want to reinstall the firmware via SEUSS as the last time I did that it took me ages to reinstall all of my programs - so maybe I simply have to live without web feeds. Likewise I am also reluctant to see if an updated firmware is available as that too reverts the phone to factory status. I wish we were able to update but still leave all the installed programs intact.

I noticed under "media" that I can quickly hop from Photos to Music to Vidoe to Games but when it goes from Games to Web Feeds there is a noticeable small delay (as if it is looking for something - which it obvioulsy cannot find) and then Web feeds is greyed out. I don't know if that sheds any light on anything?

On my Elm the Web Feeds are suddenly greyed out. I was using them recently but now cannot acces them at all. Anyone else with this problem? Apart from completely reinstalling the firmware (which I am reluctant to do as it means reinstalling all the software I have purchased) does anyone have any suggestions as to how to make them reappear?

You can try: Main menu--Media--Settings--Update media. If this doesn't work, try taking the battery out for a few minutes before restarting your phone.Failing that, if you can still access the web address of each feed from the options menu of these feeds, or use your browser to go to the actual websites, you can then re-save these feeds.

You can use the phone's remote update service and if there is a new software version, this will be installed without affecting any user data or settings. However, if the phone tells you that you already have the latest software, then you can only re-install the same software using SEUS, which means losing your phone data/settings but it doesn't affect the memory and SIM cards. You can also try a soft reset, as opposed to a hard reset, and you also have the phone repair option via PC suite for which you will also need to back up your data.
