Hi,

I've got an MBW-100 Bluetooth watch that I've had for a little while now and every time I get a new phone it doesn't work properly.

The watch is supposed to:

- confirm the time digitally from the phone

-Inform me if I receive a text

-Inform me if someone's calling me and show the contact name

-play/pause/skip the music on the phone

-show the song name that is playing when skipping tracks

The watch now does none of the above meaning that its pretty useless.

I don't expect you to come back to me with a fix immediately but what I'm asking is that you can inform the department that develops the firmware so that it will work properly, SE have done this for me on the last 3 phones (K850, C905, Satio) so all im asking is that you do the same this time.

Also further to the above if any one at SE pays ANY attention to this form of feedback I am severely disapointed that this phone was released with android 1.6 and all you can do is an update to 2.1 in the coming months. SE have had thousands from me in the phones I buy and I will not be buying another SE product if this is not reconsidered, I will be buying a HTC phone as they don't have a problem keeping people up to date! I hope that this is taken into consideration by senior management as I have seen a rediculous amount of these sort of comments on the net from people who own and have reviewed this phone.

Bear in mind we are your top end phone customers and that's a lot of money that will be going to your competitors if the update issue isn't addressed properly!

Many Thanks

John

John,

Thank you so much for posting this. This is the information I was looking for since I was looking at those watches to use with my X10.

They look pretty impressive (spec and feature).

I posted a question in the accessory forum asking if the bluetooth watch will work with X10 about 2-3 weeks ago. Guess what, no answer...

Not even the ususal "Let me check and I'll come back to you" kind of answer. Have they been sleeping on the job?

I, too, am hoping that they will give us 2.2 update but I doubt that will happen.

As of now, I think that if they can get the 2.1 update out as soon as they can and make the phone fast+stable with decent battery life. I would be satisfy with it.

But again, I doubt that will happen. I'm pretty sure the 2.1 update will be full of problems still...

Keeping my finger crossed,

Pompoko

I've spent thousands on Sony stuff because i trust Sony and rightly so as their badge comes with a high standard of workmanship and after care, however with the phones it just seems like all they're concerned about is cost of meeting our needs.

If they don't sort out this android 2.2 update I will be trawling every mobile phone web site and forum pasting a massive horror story of how poor their phones are and try and get other people who feel the same to do the same, maybe even start a fb group, that's how much they've pssd me off!

John

If you haven't done so,

you can probably find it online somewhere. (I would post a link but I'm on X10 right now)

By the way, where, when and how much did you buy the watch for? I looked at sony USA website but they say it's discontinued.

Also, I read some online reviews and some of them report battery stopped holding charges after a few weeks of use. Does yours have any battery issue like what they say?

This is one of the reason I ask where you bought the watch because it could be a faulty batch so those who bought from that batch got the same problem.

Pompoko

Cheers mate, I've posted a link to the petition and a facebook petition on SE uk's facebook page. More people have signed tht petition than people who have joined SE UK facebook page, shocking.

The battery life on my watch is fine mate, it normally lasts at least a week, occasionally it will go dead without an explanation but after a charge its fine.

The watch is a couple of years old now and my ex gf bought it for me, i think they got it new off ebay for about £250 hence why I'm kickin off about it not being compatible.

I still want a reply from the people from SE re my above issue if they ever read this post.

Cheers

John

Untouched by any of SE employees.

About your watch not working with X10. Actually, it's not a surprise. If you look at the bluetooth headset MW600 that came out with X10.

(you can see it in the X10's promo video and it also has it's own promo video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gn-7J5It9m8 )

Notice the same actress, the theme and the X10?

Looks like it's designed specifically for X10? Guess what, It doesn't work properly with X10 either! Talk about compatibility...

MW600 users report that although the product spec shows that it will display the track name while playing the song, nothing shows up

while using it with X10 (some other SE model shows track name though). I'm speechless...

Oh, perfect again. It seems the SE made us all stupid this time... users, we have to pay to Android developers for all they are not wanting to do.

Sorry, but i dont see any fair that with my new X10 i need to pay everywhere to get all my SE bluetooth stuff, or make a decent telephone out of that.

Tech is supposed to make life easier for those who need serious telephones, but it was my fault to think that X10 would be a real phone and not just a "fancy" useless phone.

Thanks for the forums people help and bye SE and its stupid android.
