Sometime when I am watching a video, or even when i recieve calls it doesnt always ring, sound goes off. Any solution?

This is happening to me too. When I am listning to music through the phones speaker the sound drops out all the time. When using Audible the sound drops out every few seconds, it is super annoying. The sound on my alarm only played for a second this morning then dropped out. Through headphones the sound is fine with no drops.

I haven't been able to come up with a solution. Hopefully it will be fixed with a software update soon. I was thinking of returning the phone for another, but will wait and see how common this issue is first.

If anyone else has a soloution I would be greatful for the help.

Hi,

I think I have solved my issue with the sound dropping in and out. I formatted my SD card with the phone and put all my music and data back on it. I haven't had a single drop since doing this.

hey guys,

try to perform a few test to make sure it isn't hardware problem,

try to run xperia diagnostics, settings>about phone

try to boot to safe mode

perform software repair using Xperia Companion

Hi,

Thanks for some suggestions, my sound still drops out on youtube and am now doing a system repair. Do you know how big the system file is? I have been downloading it for around 2 hours now and am only around 1/8th of the way through the progress bar. I have a slow internet connection but should probably have downloaded around 2.5gb by now.

Hi,

I did the repair but am still getting sound drops with the loudspeaker. The alarm didn't sound this morning only vibrated, the ring tone sometimes stops after a few seconds but continues to vibrate. When using the loudspeaker for calls it also drops.

It seems to drop out when the screen on. If I lock the screen when starting a track it doesn't drop out, but with the screen on it can drop out in 30 seconds or less. It drops out on every youtube video I watch, to get the sound back I have to pause and resume. I am also only using Sony apps on the phone for music and video.

Amazon are sending me out another one. They are sold out of them unfortunately and I might have to wait a month for the replacement.

I bought xperia Xa1 ultra few days back and m continuesly having a problem with media, whenever m playing games or watch YouTube the sound goes mute :(( please advice me... M really upset with this issue

There's something you can do to test it, boot on >>> safe mode and use either youtube or the video app, let us know if you experience the same issue.

New form yeasterday... today i test youtube, musicplayer... same problem.
Contact the Sony center... did all they ask me (also the reboot - safe mode).

In safe mode i didend have te problem in the first test, in normal mode it was there!

Sony request to remove all apps not from google and sony... i did a factory reset to be sure... after setup and updates... same problem again. After first startup it works and then the updates started... after they are done... same again.

I'm disappointed, it's brand new... lak of testing!

Same problem for me... Unfortunately I have not found any fix yet. On youtube, the sound restart when I spam multiple pause/play, but it is very frustrating on games or other media apps... Clearly a software bug. Hope that Sony works on it for the next phone update !

Still voice off. Question when Sony can do something with it? The new phone and here such a disappointment.

Nothing bro, we have tried everything from rebooting to repairing but nothing changes same issue again. May be the next update will solve this issue

Hey

I'm from germany and i've got The same issues. After aber few seconds the Sound turns off. And this happens in every app like yt, Facebook Or Chrome.

Did already a reset and such Things, but nothing worked. Its very annoying 😕

Hi,

I have the same issue, even in alarms the sound goes off after 3 seconds! This is now more serious, this is affecting my wake up routine.

Is Xperia support working on a fixture? Or shall i return the cellphone?
