Good day,

I recently got a Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra G3221...

It's a little difficult to pinpoint the exact issues as I'm usually too busy driving to pay proper attention to what happens...

I use 2 devices, a Plantronics headset and Toyota car radio... Most common problem is that one moment you try to make or answer a call, it registers that the audio is going to the Bluetooth device, however, not a sound comes through. I have to go to phone speaker or loud speaker to hear that call.

Disconnecting and reconnecting it fixes the problem just till later when it later just happens again.

I do drive with a huawei portable WiFi router, which does run on 2.4 wavelength, possible interference? (I know technically speaking it should not be the case, but hey you never know.

Previous phone had no issues... So this leads me to believe it has to be phone related...

Any ideas?

This is a known issue with the 7.0 software. Google fixed it in 7.1.1 update. Sony just patched it and some other issues like with Wifi in the update that came out a couple days ago.

the system update on my xa1 ultra says it has the latest 7.0...when are we expected to get 7.1.1 . I am also having wifi and bluetooth issues.
