Whatsapp Connection problem

Yeseterday i just bought this phone and when i open whatsapp and after signing up and given the phone verification, i tried log in but it says "sorry whatsapp was unable to complete initialisation, please check that u r connected to the internet"

But my internet is clearly known that is on! i have gone to download apps and even go in browser and youtube but how come the whatsapp just cant be connected? Is there ways to solve this?

go to settings -> applications -> manage applications -> all -> whatsapp -> clear everything

I have tried that earlier ago everything has been cleared and i again go apply and give the phone verification but it dont succeed. still cant be connected.

this might be the most obvious answer but can you uninstall the app and re-install it

if that doesn't solve it, delete the app then download OI File Manager -> access your SD card -> delete whatsapp folder -> reboot your phone -> reinstall the app

Hello! I'm facing the same problem too... How do I uninstall the app? I tried doing it from the Market but it only uninstalls the updates.

the long way

on the homescreen press MENU -> settings -> applications -> manage applications -> ALL -> whatsapp -> uninstall

or the simple way

open the app drawer -> tap on the bottom right icon ( a square formed by 4 little squares) look for whatsapp -> tap on it -> uninstall it

i also encounter problem with my whatsapp.

hv uninstall them but where n how to install them back?? Where is the OI File Manager???

I installed whatsapp i got the network issue, i uninstalled and rebooted. After this i again reinstalled from the android market now the issue am facing is that all my incoming and outgoing got completely disrupted. after that i gain did uninstall and reboot and after some days i again installed, now my call gets disconnected after 5-10min of talk automatically on calls.. please can you just guide me..

i have a connection prblm with whatsapp..

though rest of gmail and facebook everything is working fine..

but only in whatsapp there is a connection prlm..

it says "check wheather you are connected to internet..."??

i got the point of uninstalling and then again restalling..but

even f i simply remove the whatsapp thru ...settngs>application>manage application>unistall ...

then reboot it ...where will i get the whatsapp applicaton agin to install it????

plz help..thanks in advance..

try deleting and then reinstalling the app again.

Or try "resend verifcation code" and type int he new code to establish the connection.

I faced the same problem with mine and this fixed it.

2.application manager

3.select whatsapp.....

4.force stop......clear cache and clear data..

5. Start mobile data.

6.start Whatsapp application

7.Accept terms and condition

8.enter your number....it shows error msg.

9.NOW THIS STEP IS IMPORTANT ....ENTER YOUR FRIENDS NUMBER......

10.NOW IT SHOWS THE MESSAGE FOR CONFIRMATION OF NUMBER .......

11.CLICK ON EDIT BECOZ IT'S YOUR FRIENDS NUMBER.....

12.NOW ENTER YOUR REAL NUMBER....

13.DEFINITLY ALL NEXT STEPS COMPLETE SUCCESSFULLY.

Xperia Ray:

1. I have Erased all data from Phone, put on the sim and tried connecting to whatsapp.

2. I have entered the mobile number. the SMS verification got over.

3. But when i Enter the Name, It says connection problem. (I tried with both WIFI and data connection).

4.Again i formatted the phone and uninstalled the Whatsapp. Again when i went to Playstore to download app it says "Whatsapp messanger not available in your country".

5. I am from India. my friends are using it on other phones sony, samsung, iphone, htc, moto, etc./ Please help.
