alarm and silence mode?

I have 2 alarms set and when I place the phone in silent mode the alarms are also silenced.I have my settings set so when in silent mode the alarms are supposed to still sound off.Anyone else notice this? if so is there a fix? thanks in advance.

open it -> tap on volume -> adjust the alarm volume

I may be wrong but i think my alarms go even if silent mode is on.

you are right, alarms should go on even if your phone its on silent mode

if Quick Settings doesn't work

backup everything and then

settings -> Privacy -> Settings reset

if that doesn't solve it then Settings -> Privacy -> Factory reset

Make sure you install Backup & Restore App

just to play it safe sync your contacts w/ google if you haven't already

open your phonebook

press MENU button

-> tap on Send Contacts

-> select all

-> send it to your email

on your computer

-> download the file

-> go to your gmail

-> click on contacts

-> click on more actions

-> on the drop down menu click on "import"

-> choose the file

-> and click import

if you don't want to use the backup & restore app then

or your SMS use

backup & restore SMS

and for your MMS use Save MMS

one last thing

Don't worry so much about backing up your apps

on your computer go to

market.android.com -> log in -> click on My Library -> and send all your apps to your phone

i checked the alarm volume and turned it up and then silenced my phone,set a new alarm time and it worked on silent mode....thanks to all!
