Tipo Dual Update problem

Today after a long time I have opened the Sony PC Companion & saw update available for Tipo A.1.8 to A.6.8

While updating in the step of "preparing" the phone got automatically switched off. After a while in "checking the phone" (phone switched off) it's asking to follow 5 steps. After the 5 steps (still phone in switched off condition) also there is no further activity by PC Companion, also if I press "Back", it goes back in the situation "checking the phone". & the cycle continues without proceeding further to "Update" step.

Please help. Please give the detail procedure.

Please try these steps to run a repair:

1. Before you start you have to download the PC Companion software and install it on your PC.

2. Once installed on your PC, double-click the PC Companion icon on your desktop to start the update. Note! For some models you will be prompted to do a backup prior to the update and then restore.

3. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.

4. Phone Software Update.

5. Start.

6. Repair Phone

7. Continue

8. Accept data removal

9. Next

10. Wait for prepare

11. Select Phone

12. Follow the connection steps

The update completed this time prerfectly without any trouble. Thanks..
