Since it seems to be a CEC failure, maybe disabling the Bravia sync should work?
And also disable it on the Soundbar as well, as it only should work other Sony devices, so there maybe a conflict of connections.

I have the following setup:

TV - KD-55XH8196

HDMI 1 - PVR (Virgin Media) - HUMAX 1008R-HDD-VM - Connected by an 8K HDMI Cable

HDMI 2 - XBox Series S - Connected by an 8K HDMI Cable

HDMI 3 (arc) - HT-X8500

HDMI 4 - Facebook Portal

This setup was working perfectly until recently when I noticed that the sound bar was not working. After numerous resets I finally got the sound bar to work briefly with the message "TV speakers active due to Audio System Communication Failure" appearing after approximately 30 minutes. Again after multiple resets I managed to isolate the issue to the Facebook Portal. I tried different HDMI ports but to no avail. I tried changing the setting from enhanced to standard and again no change. My only option has been to disconnect the Facebook Portal.

Is anyone else having these issues? Has anyone been able to resolve the issue?

Most probably the device have issues with managing the HDMI-CEC protocol disturbing the whole chain. You may see if it permit in some way to disable it or, in case not, you may buy for it a CECless HDMI cable
