KD-55X9005C vertical line of non functional sub pixels

Hi all,

I am having an inconvenience with my TV. For a while, I've had this very thin vertical stripe on my screen. Only yesterday I took some photographs of the panel, and it looks like there is an issue with every other green/blue sub pixel. I have attached a few close-ups of the display below while showing 1) white 2) green 3) blue. With red, I cannot see the issue. From the white image, it can be seen that every other green and blue sub-pixel is dark, no issue with red sub pixels. Have you had any similar issues? What could be causing this issue? Any hopes of fixing, or is this something I just have to live with?

With dark screen but backlight on, I get the following. now it is every other green/blue sub pixel that is ON when they are supposed to be OFF. So, are these pixels just having an opposite day? I tried factory reset, but did not help.

Looks like a panel fault. Does this happen on every input?

Try updating the software.

This happens with every input. I checked for software updates, but the software appears to be up to date.

if a factory reset doesn't help, get help from a repair centre: https://locator.sony/en_GB/servicecenters
