Registering HDD

When I try to record a program, I get:

"Booking has failed, please connect the HDD device to the USB port for recording."

I suspect that I have to re-register the device as I have data on it from when I was fiddling around.

If so, I cannot figure out how to do this on my KD-55AG9.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

You're right if you try to use a disc from another TV.

Basically you just have to connect the HDD to the USB port that's labelled REC.

The TV should detect the HDD and ask you if you would like to register it for recording.

If it doesn't detect the HDD please format it first using a PC.

Thank you for your information.

I must have formatted the WD drive that I bought for recordings as data.
Re-registering it for recording fixed my problem.
