KD-49XF8796 on screen navigation

On screen navigation not working properly have done power reset to tv and batteries out and back in for the remote. Volume control faulty,sound goes off and back on,issues with remote on screen navigation.

Wondering if there is any known problems on this model as in the above information before resorting to a factory reset,thanks in advace for any advice,Pete.

I resolved the issue fiddleing about with the tv control buttons on the rear of the tv.I do not know exactly what was the remedy but tv and remote is working fine now,regards,Pete.
