HDMI Arc stopped working

Could you please help with a further problem.

Sony TV KD55XG8505 3 weeks old

my speaker system was working OK on the HDMI Ark, It has now stopped working so I am having to use the Optic to the speakers.

It was about the time that the TV had a Sony software update, I don't know if this is related.

Speaker system Panasonic SC-HTB688; the Instruction says that I must turn on the HDMI CEC

Can you tell me which settings to check in my Sony TV

To obtain CEC on the TV, turn on Bravia Sync, which is Sony’s name for CEC.
