Sound Bar Behaviour

I have a 49XF9005 with a Sonos Beam connected to the HDMI3 (ARC) port. When I bring the tv out of standby, sometimes the sound bar stays mute but sometimes it doesn't. These occurences seem to be completely random. Is there a reason for this or is it "just one of those things"?

As it sometimes works, I guess the CEC on both devices is On, and OK (or as OK as CEC can be).

Does it depend on how, exactly, you turn the TV on?

If I turn on my Samsung TV directly, it usually brings the Yamaha soundbar on; but if I start by turning on my YouView box, which always turns on the TV, this does not usually turn the soundbar on in turn.

So this TV seems to have different rules for CEC depending on whether it is turned on by the remote, or by another device.
