topic Subtitle problem in Android TV

Subtitle problem

I have a 3week old Sony TV KD-55XG8505

I mainly use the HDMI from my Freesat box, no problem

When I use the TV internal Saorview, I cannot seem to get rid of the Sub Titles particularly on the Irish channels RTE 1 RTE 2 TG4 Junior TV

If I press the Subtitle button on the remote (centre 3rd up from bottom) I get a text box on the TV saying

Text off always

Return to English

Subtitle language

I set to Text always off, but next time I go to the channel it defaults to English

I have a another Sony TV aKD-49XE7003B which does not show subtitles but is a different setup menu. I have gone through the setting menu several times

A reset and lot of suggestions from Sony did not work

The solution is, go to

Setting

Watching TV

Channel Setup

Digital Setup

Subtitles Setup = OFF

What was annoying is that the TV left the factory with the wrong settingts
