Sony KD-65AG9- ITV Hub – Application unavailable

Hello, I installed ITV Hub from Google Store on Sony KD-65AG9, which installs successfully. But when you try and open the app, it displays “Application unavailable – The manufacturer and/or operating system provider for this device has not secured the necessary rights for this application.” Any ideas what is causing this?

The KD-65AG9 was purchased from Currys.

Officially, you can only run this app when using the YouView side of the TV, and you must have tuned in the terrestrial itv Channel 3 besides.

Though you only need to tune it once, and don’t need to keep the aerial connected.

If, after that tuning, you want this app but not the YouView interface, then Hoshsadiq is your friend; Google him. I cannot say more here.
