Streaming Stuttering

Hi all, I just bought myself a new Sony Bravia KD43XG8196ABU, and am having issues with streaming sport. I've gone through so many settings all weekend it's driven me a bit mad I think. I've downloaded apps like KAYO and Optus, and I'm getting very stuttery streams. It plays with no buffering, and the picture is quite smooth, but kind of stutters every few seconds to make for not a very pleasant experience. I'm fairly certain these apps play at 50fps. I've got the motion smoothness thingy set to "smooth" (but even on the lesser ones it's the same issue). Does anyone know if there's a particular setting I should turn on or off that could combat this issue please? I've also tried the same apps on kodi and get the same issue. Cheers.

I'll see if I can track down an answer. Maybe someone else in the community has an idea in the meantime.
