I am thinking of upgrading my bravia 43xe8004 to the 49xf8796. Would this be much of an upgrade picture quality wise because the xe8004 doesn't seem very sharp and punchy. I have never seen the 49xf8796 in person but have seen one refurbished fairly cheap online. Is this worth upgrading and does it contain a va panel?

According to display specifications it is a VA panel. While you are in there you can compare it against your current model.

Thanks for the info i will upgrade im sure its because the xe8004 has an ips panel it makes the picture look rubbish. Im normally happy with sony tvs my first sony tv been a 32w705b the picture is great still on that.
