Cannot update from Play Store

I really hope someone can help me.

I was having issues with my wi-fi connection and decided to do a factory reset. Looks like the wi-fi issue is fixed but now I cannot install or update from the Play Store.

I can use those installed apps like Netflix but when I try to Install or update any app I get the revolving 'busy' icon but nothing happens - I waited up to 20 minutes a few times. I did a clear Data and clear cache and even uninstall on the Play Store app. Did a full shutdown ( waited a few minutes ) and still no joy. All software versions are up to date.

Its a Bravia 2015 KDL 50W755C .

What is going on and how can I fix this ? , really appreciate any help.

Is your Bravia running the latest firmware update here. This may resolve the issues that you are encountering.
