In my case a seriously fast Dell laptop and a Dell Desktop PC. They connect with no problems then lag behind quickly and finally stop working all together. The only guaranteed solution is to use a HDMI cable. Note nothing to do with your surface, it is all windows tablets, laptops and PCs.

Hello @Tobermory31,

what do you mean by

@Tobermory31 schrieb:

reinstalling miracast

MiraCast is just the backend used for screen mirroring - though both on your Surface and Smartphone it is installed by default meaning you can directly select it from the settings of your device.

If you installed something - what did you install on your Surface?
