topic Oreo 8 in Android TV

My brand new KD-43XG8196 TV is still running Android 7. Is that how it should be? Shouldn't it be Oreo 8? Automatic update is checked in settings.

Hi @fred77

You really have a choice, simply wait for a very slow rollout of the latest software (could be days to months) or perform a manual update immediately using a USB stick. I normally update manually on the release day! Some people don’t like taking the risk so it is up to you.

high risk, myself and many others lost all internet connectivity after the auto update
