I have a 65," Sony TV

I have bought a usb hdd and it's recording well

but

I can't change the TV channel while I'm recording WHY

What is your TV model?

If it has only one tuner, then as it needs it to make the recording from, this may explain it.

I have the same issue with ny KD-55XD9305. Recording works, but I can't view other channels whil recording to the HDD. Both antenna inputs are connected to the LNB.

Incidentally, is there a way to see the signal quality of BOTH antenna inputs? Home -> Help -> Signal diagnostics only shows the main input signal for me (and not sub).
