Hi. Does anyone know if Model KDL-50W29B will support youview?

I can't seem to locate that model number, but you can check your BRAVIA tv's YouView compatibility on this page.

I see replacement remotes offered for this model code, but not any actual TVs with it.

Could you have missed a digit out - a 6 perhaps, or an 8, as here?

But these are 2014 Sony models from before Android, which arrived in 2015, bringing YouView with it, so probably no, it won’t support YouView.

But the YouView on these sets is but a pale shadow of YouView on a YouView box, which your TV will certainly support, and eBay is dripping with cheap ones - go for a BT 2xxx model that can record - so you can’t go far wrong there.

Update. I phoned Sony, it looks like my model is not android so will not
support youview.
