Hi Sebers

I think you're asking about bias lighting, and you have a number of 3rd-party options.

This recent article explains a lot about the technology, how it works, and where to find low-cost solutions.

Cheers

Hello, I would like to improve my TV experience with my Sony kd-49xf8505: what would you recommend as a backlight system (ambilight) with the android 7.0 system(with Netflix)? Thank you in advance

Hi Mick,

the bias lighting i want is slightly different in that it mimics predominant colors found in the content being displayed on the screen. The type of bias lighting in that article is a bit different in that it is static, and doesn’t try to trace on-screen color.

Thanks a lot,

Sebers
