I think you're asking about bias lighting, and you have a number of 3rd-party options.

Hi Mick,

the bias lighting i want is slightly different in that it mimics predominant colors found in the content being displayed on the screen. The type of bias lighting in that article is a bit different in that it is static, and doesn’t try to trace on-screen color.
