Hi,

Just set up new XF87 tv yesterday and the remote works with my virgin tv box but we are unable to use record or playback functionality since I hooked up the tv. Any suggestions?

Hi @michaelryder,

Is there a reason why you decided to stop using the remote supplied with your Virgin Box? As I suppose all functions on the box still work with that remote.

Hi Dutchice,

The Bravia remote is supposed to be able to be used to control tv and virgin box using "IR Blaster connection supplied in box. However since i connected tv to virgin box neither the Sony remote or the Virgin remote will enable me to record new or play back precorded programs.

Could you confirm that all recording and playback functions do work with the supplied Virgin Box remote if you disconnect the Virgin Box completely from your new TV?
