My solution to poor program guide.

download side view to external android box.

pair with tv

i now go to my android box HDMI.

click on sideview icon,set timer/ rec etc

works perfectly and is faster than phone or iPad.

if it was possible to download directly to tv then why bother with program guide.

since sideview last update it's an excellent guide.

btw since the last tv update my tv switches itself on intermittently.

it has started to reset itself too.

had very few serious problems until this.

sony please sort your software out for what could be a great tv

ive put the supplier on notice that I will be returning tv if Sony don't get serious about this product and customers.

i have a lot of Sony products,all excellent.Tv is a big letdown ,my first tv from Sony,purchased purely because of android smarts.

Thanks for posting that info. May help someone.

In regards to your TV switching on intermittently, this is a known issue. See HERE. However, from my understanding, it seems to happen about 3 times or so and then it stops.
