X590c - audio system problem

Whenever I turn on my 65" x590c which is connected to a onkyo nr646 I have an annoying problem.

The TV is set to use the audio system but on turning the TV almost everytime I get an on-screen message jumping between TV speakers and audio system.

In the end it just uses the TV speakers until I change the volume on the amp and all works normally.

I have done a total factory reset to see if that would fix it but no luck. Running the latest firmware.

Hi Jonny,

Did you check if your audio system is running the latest firmware to?

Another idea is to exchange the HDMI cable with a better one. Sometimes cables are not well shielded which is causing trouble.

Yes the amp is running latest firmware.

Will try swapping the HDMI cables too see if that helps.

Tried 2 different cables and not fixed the issue
