Home Network Media Thumbnails Missing

Can anyone help me please?

I have a home network setup to enable me to watch videos that I have stored on my Windows 10 laptop, directly to my Sony KD-49X8309C smart TV wirelessly.

To obtain the list of videos, I go into my home network menu on my TV, then select device (laptop), then videos, and it brings up a list of all the movies I have with a thumbnail and name of the movie next to it, however, the thumbnails have disappeared, and have been replaced with the generic AVI icons and the name of the movie.

My home network setup is fine, as my TV connects to it no problems, and I am able to watch my media, and I even set it up from scratch just to rule that out, the problem is just that of the "Thumbnails".

Has anyone had the same problem, or does anyone know potentially what the cause and solution to the issue could be ?
