    <description>&lt;P&gt;HI Thanks...I have the latest software (and updated again last night!!)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I will spend some time at the weekend experimenting with settings, and trying a reset &amp;nbsp;&lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":slightly_smiling_face:"&gt;🙂&lt;/span&gt; &amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If others have this set and do not get this, I guess that means I am edging toward having a faulty set? &amp;nbsp;Can I contact Sony themselves via these forums if thats the case?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Cheers everyone!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;m&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>X8509 picture issue?</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;HI,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have a 55X8509 set that I picked up last September time from Sony. &amp;nbsp; I've spent some time adjusting picture settings but I have one big problem. &amp;nbsp; When there is an image with high contrast, I get a 'halo' effect of 'smears' fading out from the bright to the dark. &amp;nbsp;The picture is taken from a Blu Ray, but I get the same issue on any source.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any thoughts on a setting I can tweak? &amp;nbsp;Does anyone else get this?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;cheers!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;mike&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;IMG src="https://community.sony.ee/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/362140iC6E865571E84F7CA/image-size/original?v=1.0&amp;amp;px=-1" border="0" alt="FullSizeRender.jpg" title="FullSizeRender.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I have an X8577 TV and do not get this.&amp;nbsp; However the first couple of things to do is:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;UL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Ensure that you have the latest firmware installed - you should be on 3.865&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Factory reset the TV - instructions &lt;A href="https://sony-eur-eu-en-web--eur.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/66442/" target="_blank"&gt;HERE&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/UL&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You will need to re-setup the TV again after a factory reset, but give that ago - as its sometimes amazing that it works on many weird and wonderful issues.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
