topic input menu in Android TV

I have my sky hd box plugged in HDMI 1 but it says player 3 hdmi 1 and sky hd is also showing underneath it in the input menu, so why is this?

Hi there

Do you have other HDMI devices connected to the TV? "Player 3" is indicating that there are two other devices connected already. Have you tried setting a custom HDMI label?

Quinnicus the only other device connected is a DVD recorder but thats through the scart socket? what would setting a custom HDMI label do?

Ive just tested renaming the HDMI input - ignore that. I thought it could be used to rename the 'Player 1', 'Player 2' etc. Its to rename 'HDMI 1', 'HDMI 2' etc etc. Mea Culpa

Although I do not know why its coming up at 'Player 3' as technically it should be either 'Player 1' or 'Player 2'. Although I somehow recall that Sony was looking into removing the names of 'Player 1', Player 2' etc at some point, as its not really necessary.
